Shredding and Thickening
- Once the chicken is cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a clean cutting board. Using two forks, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Alternatively, you can leave the chicken breasts whole if preferred. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and ¼ cup of cold water until a smooth slurry forms, ensuring there are no lumps.
